Challenger Accepted
Iowa farmer John Fehr is committed to protecting his soil so it doesn’t erode through wind and water. And that means minimizing soil compaction whenever he can. John’s Challenger 1050 was equipped with wide IF radial tires. He noticed that the tractor caused less soil compaction than his track machines, but he wanted to be able to use it year round. So he asked us to come up with a custom tire setup using the tallest VF row crop tires possible. The result is a large footprint and a row-crop tractor that’s ready for work spring, summer, and fall.
Weeding Out Compaction with CTIS
Every pass across a field counts when you’re trying to stop soil compaction from squashing your yields. That’s why Minnesota farmer Luke Engen depends on CTIS to lighten the impact of his John Deere 412R. With fast inflation and deflation times, and the ability to easily uncouple the system to switch to floaters for pre-emerge passes in the spring, Engen’s PTG central tire inflation system makes it easy to go easy on his soil.
Cracking the Case of the Cracking Wheels
Right before harvest, South Dakota farmer Scott Slepikas discovered cracked wheels on his Case IH combine. A local tire shop had already burned through its inventory of replacements. So Scott decided that it would be wise to seek out a longer-lasting solution. In the end, Scott decided to mount a set of our HD straddle duals, which are built to perform under pressure and prevent pesky cracks from bringing harvest to a halt. As he told us, “these should last me as long as I want to farm.”
Saved $20K!
Joe saved $20K when we helped him upgrade his Versatile 375 from duals to 1250 LSWs. How? We reconditioned used wheels to fit his tractor with mint condition used tires. Dramatically better performance for WAY less money!
Fendt Up with Waiting
Logan called us because he was having problems getting floaters for his Fendt 937. He'd been waiting months from another tire shop. We got him rolling in 7 days with a set of 620/70R46 Goodyears on custom wheels shipped across the country. Upgrading & optimizing your machines doesn't have to be complicated when you work with NTS!
More manure. Less crap.
“It’s a night and day difference compared to our other tanks.” That’s how Bryce with NEIA Pumping Service in Iowa describes hauling manure with the help of a PTG central tire inflation system. Bryce was blown away how the extra traction and flotation translated to faster pulling in the field. And he’s pretty pumped about the ride, too, in the field and down the road. No more bouncing. No more backaches. Like Bryce told us, “it’s a hell of a system.”
More Versatile
A farmer wanted more grip for his Versatile than the largest factory 800/70R38s would offer. So, we mounted massive LSW900/50R46s on custom wheels and spacers that we sourced from Keltgen Wheel.
I Needed More Speed
A customer of Kibble Equipment needed more ground speed out of his 9R 640 so he could stay ahead of his planter with the field cultivator. We swapped his 800/70R38s for bigger 900/50R46 LSWs. With better traction, he won't have a problem keeping the planter in his dust. Plus, this setup will deliver a better ride and higher fuel economy.
From Blowout to Blown Away
Clint Kiecker’s DB44 planter pulls smoother and floats better than ever thanks to some creative problem solving by our tire experts. A tire failure on the way home from the dealership started it all. Now, Clint rolls with a wider aftermarket tire setup that performs so well, he has a hard time finding his planter tracks.
Make Farming Fun Again
We helped Mike switch a John Deere 8R from narrow 320/105R54 and 320/80R42s row crop tires to LSW super singles. After running the new setup for both planting and harvest, he could see the difference in the crop and his yields. And a couple years later, he added a PTG central tire inflation system to put even more of his 400+ hp to the ground. “I’ll never look back . . . these tires are incredible. They make farming fun.”
A Ford with a Future
Scott Eiler’s dad bought their Ford TW-15 new in 1990. It was the first tractor Scott learned to drive, and it’s still going strong today. Scott recently partnered with NTS Tire Supply to switch the tractor over to 22-inch rows, which included a new set of custom wheels and Alliance FarmPro tires. The process took only 3 weeks from start to finish. “I figure on keeping the tractor for some time.”
Minnesota Farmer Fights Compaction with CTIS
Minnesota farmer Nathan Serbus has invested a lot in his planter to improve its performance. And last year he added a PTG central tire inflation system and Firestone VF tires to his 24-row 1770 NT planter. He now runs his planter tires at ultra-low air pressures in the field to prevent soil compaction and its negative effects on yield.
Beast Mode is ON!
Jim wanted to upgrade his Fendt 942 from skinny 320/105R54 and 320/80R42 duals to 1100 and 1000 LSWs. He was looking for better flotation and better roadability and he’s now miles ahead with this new setup. Plus, the super singles made the Fendt look awfully mean. Definitely an unforgettable look!
Bold in Black
Better flotation. Better handling. And a sweet, bold new look for this sprayer with custom powder coated flat black wheels and VF Alliance Agriflex+ 354s. Can you keep spraying on track with the right tires and wheels? You bet!
Pumped Up! (And down)
Float across the field. Fly down the road. The perfect tire pressure for every load & speed. Challenge accepted and met with a PTG central tire inflation system for this John Deere 412R sprayer.
Traction without the Overhead of Tracks
Matt Petersen had to make a difficult decision for his farm: Burn a hole in his wallet and buy a new tractor? Or invest in his current tractor? Either way, he needed more traction. In the end he went with option B. Matt chipped his 9620 and added Firestone VF tires and a PTG central tire inflation system. After two seasons, he’s loving the extra traction—the grip of tracks without the expense of tracks.
Too Big? Never.
Even the largest planting setups can be light on the soil and avoid severe soil compaction. We swapped out this DB88's aftermarket tracks for a PTG central tire inflation system and Firestone Destination Turf VF radials. We also equipped both axles of the John Deere 9R with CTIS + Goodyear 1400 LSWs for unbeatable flotation.
